New to RotorOps? Follow these steps on your first sorties.

Join and pick a department
Spawn at the hangar, choose medical rescue, firefighting, or gendarmerie when unlocked, then decide whether you will pilot or ride as crew. See Players for role notes.

Deploy, start engines, check fuel
Talk to the hangar NPC, deploy an EC-145 or purchased airframe, start systems, and refuel before takeoff. Follow Controls & Flying, How to Refuel, and Map, Bases, and Hangar.

Accept a mission and navigate
Accept the call, follow navigation to the scene, and coordinate with teammates who request boarding. The Getting Started guide covers the first loop.

Treat, contain, or observe
Medical crews finish patient care before hoist/boarding. Fire teams contain wind-driven fronts with buckets and bombers. Gendarmerie use FLIR and night vision. Read the matching mission guides under Guides.
